Library Building Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10am to 2pm. Tuesday and Thursday 10:00am to 6:00pm. The City Library building OPEN to walk-in visitors for “Express Book Browsing”. Social distancing is required between household groups. During this phase of reopening each patron is limited to one, 60-minute visit per-day and all patrons must exit the building by closing time. When 75% maximum Library capacity is reached, entry will become “one out, one in”. This is walk-in access (no appointments are needed).
Masks Required: A face mask (covering both nose and mouth) is required for ALL individuals ages 2 years and over regardless of their vaccination status.

OPEN Library services: Walk-in 60-minute express book browsing, photocopier, fax machine, Library card services, the handling of cash, program registration, Ask-A-Librarian, phone lines, virtual volunteering, WIFI and next business day curbside take-out. Also available are online programs, Grab & Go crafts, and the Library’s first in-person program since the start of the pandemic (CDBG Zoom 101). Registration is required for most programs.
CLOSED Library services: Patron/AWE computers, printers, meeting/study rooms, puzzles, and most print newspapers/magazines.
Curbside Takeout Service: OPEN Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10am-4pm. Tuesday and Thursday 10am-6pm. The Library’s popular Curbside Takeout Service is OPEN. Patrons can reserve items by phone or online. Items requested before 3pm Monday – Friday will be ready the next business day. Items requested after 3pm, on weekends, or on holidays may take additional business days. Please note Lighthouse Point residents may request a special after hours curbside pickup time of 6pm-8pm on Tuesdays. Please contact the Library for full details. Curbside takeout gives patrons access to the entire library collection without having to enter the building.
Ask-A-Librarian/Phonelines: OPEN. Your hometown librarians are just a phone call away. Staff are here to help with inquires including reserving materials, reference, research, eBooks, and general information.
Programs for Youth, Adult and Seniors: Most summer 2021 library programs are online. MANY have weekly craft, project, or supply packs for registered participants to enjoy at home. Please go to the PROGRAMS link in the menu for more information.

Patron WIFI: OPEN (library card required to log on). Patrons with Lighthouse Point Library cards can access the Library’s WIFI in the Library or from the comfort of their own vehicle. Call the library during service hours with your Lighthouse Point Library card for the current WIFI password.
Outdoor Dropbox (returning Library books): The Library’s Outdoor Drop Box is OPEN 24/7 for Lighthouse Point Library materials returns. Please remember ALL returned Library materials will show on your account for a minimum of 72-hours AFTER being placed in the drop box. And you will not receive late fees during this quarantine time. For information on the Library’s disinfecting process, quarantine times, and safety procedures for returned materials please visit the “How we clean returned Library materials” button on our home page.
Cleaning and disinfecting the Library: The building is disinfected each morning before opening. In the afternoon “high touch items” (such as door knobs and counter tops) will be wiped down again with disinfectant. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are available for patron use.
Donation of Books and Materials: The Friends of the Library are currently unable to accept any book or materials donations. Due to safety concerns, any donation left outside of the building, in the drop box or on the grounds is immediately sent to the dumpsters.
Little Free Library in Dan Witt Park: Is currently closed. This program will resume when construction at Dan Witt Park is completed.
