StoryWalk in De Groff Park
What is a StoryWalk®? It is an innovative way for children and adults to enjoy picture books, reading, the outdoors, and exercise all at the same time! The Friends of the Library’s first “fifteen panel” StoryWalk® is on the sand trail in De Groff Park (daylight hours, parking is limited). This first book will be up through the end of December. Don’t forget to check out the back of the StoryWalk® panels for Library photos, facts, and details on how Lighthouse Point households can get a FREE copy of the book from the Friends. Since a StoryWalk is for ALL AGES the Friends encourage adults who live in Lighthouse Point who have enjoyed the StoryWalk, to request a FREE book to share with a child in their family (niece, nephew, grandchild, etc.).   This project is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the City of Lighthouse Point.

Library Building
Most municipal library buildings in Broward continue to be closed to walk-in visitors.  This includes the building housing the Lighthouse Point Library and City Hall. Library and City staff continue to work tirelessly preparing the building for a “new normal”. Each have expressed how much they are looking forward to the day they can welcome patrons back INTO the Library.  Until then, Library staff are available Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed holidays) to assist you by phone. Please call the Library at 954-946-6398 or check us out online at lighthousepointlibrary.com.

Donation of Books and Materials
The Friends of the Library are currently unable to accept any book or materials donations. Due to safety concerns, any donation left outside of the building, in the drop box, or on the grounds must immediately be sent to the dumpsters.

Keep safe and stay healthy,
The Lighthouse Point Library Staff
