LIBRARY TEEN ADVISORY BOARD
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is actively seeking new members.
The purpose of the Teen Advisory Board is to develop leadership skills in young people and encourage youth to work together to become role models in the library and in the community. The Teen Advisory Board has embraced the concept of social responsibility. The first year's community activity was a holiday event at a local rehabilitation home. In subsequent years the Teen Advisory Board has organized and participated in Hurricane Katrina Relief; Diabetes WalkAThon; Assisted with Lighthouse A'Glow, Keeper's Day celebrations and the Library's Dedication Ceremony. Last year's fundraising effort was in cooperation with the Nestle Very Best in Youth program which provided $1000 towards the ongoing TAB tutoring program.
