Teen Advisory Board
The Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is open to students who want to make a difference AND have fun while earning community service hours for school. Throughout the year members assist the library and the City of Lighthouse Point with outreach, special projects, and community events. TAB is open to teens (ages 13 to 19) who attend a local public or private middle or high school, are distance/online learners, or are home-school students. Teens DO NOT have to be residents of Lighthouse Point to participate. Additional TAB photos are available in the Photo Gallery.
Message from the 2015 - 2016 TAB President
Hi, Hey there, My name is Jasmine Acosta and I am the president of the Lighthouse Point Library's Teen Advisory Board. Being on the board has been an experience like no other. As a board member, I have been able to meet wonderful new people, earn community service hours, and observe the very real impact I can have on my community. Aspiring members can look forward to helping organize local events and aiding the library to run smoothly. The Teen Advisory Board is always welcoming new members. So if you're interested, you can find out what we're up to, how to join, and when the next meeting is by calling the library or by checking our website.
See you at the library!
